WHO WE ARE
Katie Lockey
PRINCIPAL SOLICITOR
BA, LLB
Katie is the Principal Solicitor at Mal Ryan & Glen. She practices across all of the firm's practice areas, with a particular interest in estate planning and succession.
​
Katie holds bachelor's degrees in Law and Arts from Monash University. She began her legal career at Corrs Chambers Westgarth before moving to Mansfield, where she worked at Mal Ryan & Glen under its previous management. In 2009 she was appointed Associate to Justice Lex Lasry in the Supreme Court of Victoria, and went on to work in the Office of Public Prosecutions' Complex Crime unit. She took over the practice of Mal Ryan & Glen in 2013, which has grown steadily since.

Katie served on the Board of the Mansfield District Hospital for nine years, including as Chair of several subcommittees. She has also served as a board member of MACE Inc (Mansfield Adult Continuing Education) and on the Mansfield Shire Council Audit and Risk Advisory Committee and as a general committee member of Women in the North East. She is currently serving as a trustee of the Deakin Allen Marj Coombs Children’s Welfare Trust.

Jonathon Gifford
SENIOR SOLICITOR
BBus, LLB (Hons), GDLP
Jon and his partner Bernadette, an osteopath, made the move to Mansfield in 2007 when Bernadette was given the opportunity to practice at the Mansfield Medical Clinic. Jon and Bernadette quickly integrated themselves into the local community and enjoying all the region has to offer.
Jon began his Law degree spending nights and weekends studying whilst employed full time at the local hardware store before taking up a full time position at Mal Ryan and Glen as a Paralegal in his final year of study.
Graduating with honours, Jon was admitted to legal practice in 2018 and is forging a strong and successful career helping the people of Mansfield and district with all their legal needs.

Jon is the Secretary of the Mansfield District Community Bank and has served that Board for five years. Jon served as President of the Mansfield and District Business Association for four years.
Eve Foster
CONSULTANT SOLICITOR
LLB (Hons), GDLP
Eve has worked in private legal practice since 2010, when she moved to Mansfield with her husband. She worked for a local firm before opening her own legal practice (Foster Legal Lawyers) in 2017 while also raising two young children. After 9 years of sole practice, Eve and Katie joined forces and Foster Legal joined the team at Mal Ryan & Glen.
Eve has a strong background in property law, commercial law and estates law. She values the relationships she builds with clients and the trust they put in her work. Prior to 2010, Eve worked for the ACCC and Consumer Affairs in Melbourne, leading to an ongoing interest in consumer law issues as well.
Aside from her work at Mal Ryan & Glen, Eve also teaches practical legal training to aspiring lawyers through the College of Law Victoria. She was also a committee member of the Victorian Women Lawyers Regional Outreach Committee for 5 years. She has a keen interest in fostering the next generation of regional lawyers to ensure ongoing accessibility to quality legal services to those in regional areas.
Alice Dunn
SOLICITOR
BA, LLB, GDLP
Alice was admitted in February 2024 after studying a Bachelor of Law part-time, working part-time and raising two small children.
Raised on the family farm near Wagga Wagga in NSW, Alice joined the Mal Ryan & Glen team in 2021, after moving to Mansfield from Melbourne.
Alice comes to Mal Ryan & Glen with a background in industrial relations, having worked for 10 years as a Research Analyst at the Fair Work Commission (and its predecessor, the Australian Industrial Relations Commission), where she was involved in the Award Modernisation project, various qualitative and quantitative research projects, and later managed the Commission’s plain-language rewrite of existing modern awards.
From 2018 to 2021, Alice was an Industrial Officer for the Victorian Branch of the Rail Tram and Bus Union where she represented the union’s members in a variety of forums such as enterprise bargaining and Fair Work Commission proceedings.
Bernadette Caminos
CONVEYANCING &
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Originally from Sydney, Bernie relocated from Melbourne to Mansfield in 2009 with her husband, Adrian, seeking a lifestyle change and a wonderful place to raise their two children. The family built their dream home in Tolmie, where they lived for 11 years before moving to central Mansfield.

Now living in the heart of Mansfield, Bernie is a familiar face in the local community and enjoys the region’s welcoming atmosphere and beautiful surroundings with her family.
With more than 20 years of experience as a Personal Assistant and Receptionist in both Sydney and Melbourne, Bernie brings strong administrative expertise, professionalism, and a wealth of knowledge to the team. She is also currently completing her Advanced Diploma in Conveyancing, further strengthening her industry expertise and commitment to professional development.
Outside of work, Bernie enjoys supporting her son as he plays football for the Mansfield Eagles, sewing, and spending quality time with her family.
Emelie Wiik
PROBATE & ESTATES
Emelie joined Mal Ryan & Glen in 2024 working with the team in Probate and Estates. Emelie has an extensive background in Administration and Project Management/Commercial Fire Safety.

Originally from Sweden, Emelie decided to relocate to Melbourne in 2014, seeking new opportunities and adventures. In 2020, drawn by her love for the outdoors and the serene countryside reminding her of “home”, Emelie made the move with her husband and two children to Mansfield.
​
Outside work, Emelie takes every opportunity she can to enjoy the Victorian High Country. You will find her fly fishing in the local rivers or spending time in the mountains with her family both during summer and winter.
Jordan Gilmore
SOLICITOR
Jordan was admitted to practice in 2024 after completing a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Psychological Science at La Trobe University.

Born and raised in Mansfield, Jordan has a deep understanding of the local community and the unique challenges faced by individuals, families and businesses in regional areas when accessing legal services. Her strong connection to the region drives her commitment to providing practical, compassionate and accessible legal support.

Drawing on both her legal and psychological studies, Jordan brings a thoughtful and approachable perspective to her work. She has a particular interest in conveyancing, wills and estates, and enjoys helping clients protect what matters most to them, whether they are purchasing a home, planning for the future or managing a loved one's estate.
She is passionate about helping clients navigate these matters with confidence and clarity while contributing to the ongoing strength and resilience of the Mansfield community.

Jordan currently serves as a voluntary board member of MACE Inc. and has previously contributed to the Victorian Women Lawyers Outreach Committee.
Kate Camilleri
LAW CLERK
Kate is a Law Clerk with a background in medical administration, having worked in both hospital and aged care settings before joining the legal profession in 2025. Her experience has given her a strong appreciation for professionalism, organisation, and providing compassionate support to others.

Kate and her husband Phillip made Mansfield home in 2014, relocating from Melbourne with their two children just a few months before welcoming their third. Since then, they have embraced the local community and enjoy the lifestyle that the region has to offer. More recently, they built their family home and enjoy spending their spare time establishing and maintaining the gardens.
Outside of the office, Kate enjoys spending quality time with her family, particularly camping and exploring the outdoors. She is also passionate about keeping fit, enjoys reading, and loves spending time with the family's two dogs.
Virginia Tainton
RECEPTION
Virginia joined our team in 2025, bringing her expertise in reception and administrative duties.
A highly valued member of the team, she is likely to be your first point of contact with the firm. Virginia’s approachable and engaging manner reflects her strong value of connection with others and her community.
Originally from Melbourne, Virginia moved to Mansfield in September 2022 with her partner, Mark, seeking a quieter lifestyle and the beautiful surroundings the region offers.
Outside of work, Virginia enjoys exploring the mountains, taking advantage of the easy access to trails, and participating in the local Parkrun. She and Mark are also kept busy caring for their two horses.
Toral Banerjee
SOLICITOR
Toral has more than a decade of legal experience across Australia and India. She advises clients on a broad range of civil, commercial and private client matters, bringing a practical, strategic and client-focused approach to her work.
Before joining the firm, Toral worked at the Supreme Court of Victoria, where she worked across commercial and common law matters including property disputes, trusts and equity, probate and estates, personal injury, judicial review, mortgage recovery, professional liability and appeals.
She has also worked with Ashurst LLP's NewLaw division on complex commercial litigation and pro bono migration matters. Prior to relocating to Australia, Toral practised for more than eight years in India, appearing before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, the Calcutta High Court and other courts and tribunals.
Toral holds a Master of Laws in Australian Law and Practice from Bond University and a Master of International Commercial Law from the University of Queensland, where she received the Dean's Commendation for Academic Excellence.
Harry Isles
SOLICITOR
Harry completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne in 2024, after completing his Bachelor of Arts in 2020, majoring in Philosophy. ​
The highlight of his law degree was undertaking an international law program at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London.

Prior to joining MR&G, Harry has worked as a paralegal at a boutique law firm in Melbourne and also volunteered at Refugee Legal Victoria. Harry has assisted clients across a broad range of areas including civil litigation, commercial agreements, wills & estates, conveyancing and traffic offences.
Outside of law, Harry has a passion for fitness, originating from his background as a rower at an international level, and learning languages with his partner from Turin, Italy.
